candace garner
Owner and CEO
Candace grew up in Elyria, Ohio, and majored in transportation and logistics at Kent State University. She married Robin Garner in 1978 and joined the family business. In 2007, the operation and management of Garner’s transitioned to Candace. A year later, Candace Garner and her children decided it was time to get back to their roots and opened their current location on Pleasantburg Drive with a new name—Garner’s Natural Life—and new goal. With a smaller storefront, Garner’s Natural Life was able to be more focused on herbs, vitamins, supplements and skin care, including over 9,000 products. As demand grew, Candace decided to add a second location in 2010 in Columbia, South Carolina. Within only two years, it was time to grow again with a third location next to the Fresh Market on Woodruff Road in Greenville. In 2019 Garner's expanded even more with a fourth location in Lexington, SC.
DAVID GARNER
Owner
David was born into this industry. He has memories of taking naps on top of big bags of wheat germ in the back of the store when he was little. David loves the nurturing aspect that comes along with this field. He believes it’s great to know how to treat oneself using what Mother Nature has to offer. Some of his favorite products that Garner's carries are Shilajet, any of the medicinal mushrooms, and Healthforce Vitamineral Greens.
Jeff garner
Owner
Jeff was born in Columbia. He grew up watching his mom and dad run Garner's Natural Life. His family decided to expand in 2010 and he moved back home to Columbia to open and run that location. With so much community support, the family was blessed to open up a fourth store in Lexington, SC in 2019. You won’t see him much because he is always in the back receiving products or paying bills. When he is not at the stores he loves cycling and spending time with his pugs.
matt GARNER
Owner
Since a young age Matt has always been into sports and staying active. Throughout his childhood he played football, soccer, and ran track. After college Matt started working for Garner's in 2011. Over the last 10 years he has learned a lot about health and nutrition and how to live a healthy lifestyle. In his time off he enjoys hanging out with his family, and going hiking with his two German Shepherds Roxie and Rocco.
