Since a young age Matt has always been into sports and staying active. Throughout his childhood he played football, soccer, and ran track. After college Matt started working for Garner's in 2011. Over the last 10 years he has learned a lot about health and nutrition and how to live a healthy lifestyle. In his time off he enjoys hanging out with his family, and going hiking with his two German Shepherds Roxie and Rocco.

 
 
 

 

Dan

Store Manager, Master Herbalist

Dan spent 32 years working in medical imaging and decided to follow his heart to the natural wellness arena in 2017. A long-time natural health enthusiast, Dan took classes with Dr. Christopher's School of Natural Healing which led him to shopping at Garner's for bulk herbs. This led to a job and then to managing at the Woodruff Road store. Dan has continued studies with Trinity School of Natural Health and obtained the Master Herbalist certification. He loves encouraging others to manage their health naturally.

Susan C

Wellness Educator

After a life in commercial finance, Susan got to pursue her passion of natural health. Susan went to work at a vitamin manufacturer and called on Garner's - that was in 2005 and the rest is history. Susan is so grateful for the opportunity to be of help in our community.

Wellness Associate/ Master Herbalist

Alex's fascination with herbalism and naturally occurring therapeutic compounds started with drinking chamomile and coffee as a child. Alex found himself fully immersed in Herbalism and began working at Garner's in 2015. Over the last decade he has realized there is so much more to this field and he has realized that this is the path for him. He feels the experience assisting others and himself in health goals is an invaluable experience. Alex's primary interest is neurochemistry/brain function as well as gastrointestinal health, and the lesser-known herbs and ethnobotanicals.

Wellness Associate/ Master Herbalist

Allison's journey with natural health began while working with horses and other animals alongside her father. Her interest in helping creatures achieve wellness soon grew into the human world, too. As an artist and aspiring farmer, Allison seeks to help others find creative solutions to their woes. She hopes to remind everyone that wellness begins with connection to Mother Nature and self.

Sales Associate/ Accounts Payable

Esther worked for a large corporation in Upstate New York for 30+ years. Daily life was stressful, fast paced and with deadlines. Once she moved to South Carolina Esther began shopping at Garner's and always loved the experience. For Esther, Garner's felt like a good fit. Working at Garner's has given her the opportunity to learn more about healthy living as well as being able to use her skills for AP. Esther is very grateful for the sharing experience she encounters every day.

JESS

Wellness Associate

Jess's education and training as a biochemist allow her to understand processes on a chemical/cellular level. While experiences with herbs and supplements inform how they affect the body. Her areas of special interest include women's health, hormone balance, physiology and nutrition. Jess believes health to be a lifelong journey. She welcomes any opportunity to learn while feeling incredibly fortunate to be able to educate and empower people to be able to heal themselves.

Dustin

Shift Leader, Cannabis Educator

Dustin Hinson was born and raised in Upstate South Carolina. He moved to Asheville, NC in 2009 where he developed an affinity for plant based alternative medicine. When he’s not at work you can find him hula hooping, making art, or helping out on his mom’s equestrian rescue farm.
